Warranty, Installation & Liability Terms

At BGT4X4, we’re committed to providing quality 4WD accessories and clear information to help you buy with confidence. The following terms outline our position on warranty, installation, and liability.

Installation Responsibility

  • Professional installation is always recommended. Many of our products require technical knowledge and tools for correct fitting.
  • BGT4X4 is not responsible for any damage caused to your vehicle, property, or person due to incorrect installation, modification, or use of any product sold.
  • Any damage or fault arising from improper installation may void warranty coverage.

Warranty Coverage

  • Warranties are set by the manufacturers or suppliers of each product. Details are included in the product listing where available.
  • BGT4X4 may offer longer warranty on select items sold under our own brand — this will be clearly outlined on the product page.
  • Products must be used as intended and kept in original condition to qualify for warranty claims.

Warranty Exclusions

The following situations are not covered under warranty:

  • Incorrect or unauthorised installation
  • Off-road misuse beyond product intent
  • Wear and tear, cosmetic marks or damage
  • Labour, freight, or removal/reinstallation costs

Product Use & Compliance

  • Some of our products are intended for off-road use only. It is the customer’s responsibility to check if these products are suitable and legal for use on public roads in their region.
  • We take compliance seriously and aim to only stock products that meet relevant safety expectations.
  • Ultimately, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any modifications are legal and roadworthy under Australian law or your local regulations.

Diff Locker Warranty

We back our E-Locker with a 7-year warranty covering manufacturing faults from the original date of purchase.

How it works:

  • If something goes wrong and you believe it’s a warranty issue, contact us within 7 days of the issue. Email is best, and we’ll get back to you quickly.
  • We may ask you to return the part for inspection. You’ll need to provide proof of purchase and cover return shipping.
  • If it’s a legit warranty issue, we’ll either repair, replace, or exchange the part, at our discretion.

What’s not covered:

  • Labour costs or damage to your vehicle caused by part failure
  • Misuse, incorrect installation, or modified parts
  • Accidental damage or normal wear and tear
  • Claims made after the 7-year window
  • Claims by someone who didn’t buy it directly from us

If we inspect the part and it’s not a warranty issue, we’ll return it to you at your expense.
