Warranty, Installation & Liability Terms

At BGT4X4, we’re committed to providing quality accessories, honest support, and clear information so you can purchase with confidence.

The information below outlines our policies regarding installation, warranty, fitment and product-related issues.

Installation Responsibility

Professional installation is always recommended, particularly for products requiring technical knowledge or vehicle modification.

BGT4X4 is not responsible for any damage caused to a vehicle, product, property or person due to:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Improper use
  • Vehicle modifications
  • Failure to follow supplied instructions or recommendations

Any damage or faults caused by incorrect installation or misuse may void warranty coverage.

Product Fitment

Our products are designed to suit specific vehicles as advertised.

Please note that minor fitment variations can sometimes occur due to:

  • Vehicle manufacturing tolerances
  • Previous vehicle modifications
  • Accessories already fitted to the vehicle
  • Differences between vehicle variants

A product that functions as intended and is fit for purpose will not be considered faulty due to minor fitment variations.

If you are unsure about compatibility before purchasing, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Incorrect, Faulty or Damaged Items

In the rare case that you receive an incorrect, faulty or damaged item, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist.

We kindly ask that all products are inspected within 14 days of delivery. This includes checking for:

  • Incorrect items supplied
  • Visible damage
  • Obvious manufacturing defects

Claims raised outside this timeframe may still be assessed on a case-by-case basis in line with Australian Consumer Law.

Please include your order number and photos where possible when contacting us.

Damaged, Used or Installed Products

We cannot offer refunds, replacements or warranty coverage where:

  • Products have been damaged during installation or attempted installation
  • Products have been modified or misused
  • Installation or use continues after identifying a potential issue
  • Damage is unrelated to a manufacturing defect
  • Products show signs of excessive wear, misuse or accidental damage

If a product is installed or used despite arriving damaged or incorrect, eligibility for a refund or replacement may be affected.

Warranty Coverage

Warranty periods are set by the manufacturer or supplier unless otherwise stated.

Some BGT4X4-branded products may include extended warranty coverage, which will be clearly outlined on the product page.

To qualify for warranty consideration, products must:

  • Be used as intended
  • Be correctly installed
  • Remain in reasonable condition
  • Not be modified outside intended use
Warranty Exclusions

The following situations are generally not covered under warranty:

  • Incorrect or unauthorised installation
  • Off-road misuse beyond product intent
  • Cosmetic marks, wear and tear or fading over time
  • Labour costs associated with installation or removal
  • Freight or shipping costs related to warranty claims
  • Damage caused by vehicle faults or external factors
Product Use & Road Compliance

Some products sold by BGT4X4 may be intended for off-road use only.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure any modifications or accessories comply with local laws and regulations before use on public roads.

While we aim to provide accurate information and stock quality products, final responsibility for vehicle compliance and roadworthiness remains with the vehicle owner.

Diff Locker Warranty

Our E-Locker is backed by a 7-year warranty covering manufacturing faults from the original purchase date.

How It Works

If you believe your E-Locker has a warranty issue:

  • Contact us within 7 days of identifying the issue
  • Provide proof of purchase
  • Return the product for inspection if requested

If the issue is confirmed as a valid warranty claim, we may repair, replace or exchange the item at our discretion.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.

What’s Not Covered

  • Labour or installation costs
  • Vehicle damage caused by part failure
  • Incorrect installation or misuse
  • Modified products
  • Accidental damage or normal wear and tear
  • Claims outside the 7-year warranty period
  • Claims made by anyone other than the original purchaser

If a returned product is inspected and found not to have a warranty fault, it may be returned at the customer’s expense.
