Founder's Note - From Dewald & Nicole

Even before BGT4X4 existed, the mission was about you - showing that it’s possible to build a capable 4WD without overspending, so you can spend more time enjoying the lifestyle.

Back in 2021, Dewald was sharing Pajero mods on YouTube while still at uni. Like many of you, we were either DIY-building on the driveway or going on deep dives to source gear from all corners of the internet.

The goal wasn’t to chase the cheapest option, but to find parts that actually worked, delivered real value, and didn’t leave you with buyer’s remorse. That same frustration - and the demand from other Pajero owners who wanted the gear they saw working - became the spark for BGT4X4.

Fast forward, and today you have access to a carefully built range of over 200 products, tested on our own rigs so there's no guesswork. If it's not good enough for our Pajero, it won’t end up on the site.

What really matters is the support you get along the way. From the moment you land here to months after your install, you’ve got a direct line to Dewald. This means you get straight, honest advice from someone who’s fitted the gear, tested it, and lives the same 4WD lifestyle you do.

Shipping
How much does shipping cost? Plus

Shipping costs are determined by several factors, including:

  • Your shipping address
  • The size & weight of the items in your cart
  • The fulfilment location of the product

As you add products to your cart, shipping charges may adjust based on these factors. Shipping costs are shown at checkout.

How long does shipping take? Plus

Products shipped from our Brisbane warehouse and in-stock items from our Aussie suppliers normally dispatch within 1-3 business days. Once shipped, standard postage takes an average of 3-7 business days for delivery.

See product pages for product-specific dispatch times as some products get shipped directly from suppliers.

We always aim to dispatch orders ASAP, but once shipped, we can’t control courier delays. If you experience an issue, we recommend checking the tracking details or contacting the courier directly. Of course, if you still need help, feel free to reach out.

Where is my order shipped from? Plus

We ship from multiple locations depending on the product:

  • Brisbane Warehouse – A large variety of products are stocked locally for fast dispatch.
  • Australian Suppliers – Some products ship directly from our trusted Aussie partners.
  • International Suppliers – To offer a wider range of Pajero gear, we work with trusted suppliers in UAE and China for items that we can’t store locally due to space constraints. If you are an international customer, some products may be shipped directly from our suppliers to reduce freight charges.

Regardless of where your order ships from, every purchase is processed by us and backed by BGT4X4.

Do you ship overseas? Plus

Yes, we offer international shipping on most products excluding bulky items such as bull bars, exhuasts, suspension etc.

Do you offer local pickup? Plus

Unfortunately at this stage we are unable to offer local pickup as our premises isn't accessible to the general public. As business operations expand, we hope to offer this.

Returns
I ordered the wrong product, what should I do? Plus

If you’ve ordered the wrong item, contact us ASAP as orders get processed very quicky.

  • If your order hasn’t been processed yet, we’ll update it for you, free of charge.
  • If it’s already been processed, you can return it (at your cost), and we’ll refund you once it’s received and approved back into stock. Shipping fees are not refundable.
Do you offer returns? Plus

We offer a 30-day returns window for unused items in their original condition.

If you’d like to return an item, email us at info@budget4x4life.com with your order number and reason for return. We’ll provide return instructions to proceed.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Items must be unused and in their original condition.
  • They must be shipped back within 30 days of your order date.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • Once we receive and approve your return, we’ll process your refund to your original payment method and send a confirmation email.
  • Refunds may take a few business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment method.
What do I do if there's an issue with my order or product? Plus

If something’s not right with your order, contact us ASAP at info@budget4x4life.com with your order number and details of the issue.

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we’re committed to resolving any issues quickly. Depending on the situation, we’ll assist through:

BGT4X4 is based in Brisbane, Australia, where we run a small warehouse stocking a variety of Pajero accessories.

To broaden our range of offerings, we also work with trusted suppliers in Australia and internationally who support us by shipping some larger or speciality items directly.

No matter where we are, every order is processed and backed by us- because this business is our passion, and we’re committed to supporting our community.
