A lighter, slimmer way to run a backbone roof setup - exclusive to BGT4X4.

Our slimline aluminium cross bars for backbone systems were developed to give you an alternative to the weight and bulk of a traditional full roof platform. We were the first to offer this style of setup, and it remains exclusive to BGT4X4.

This complete set includes 4 × 1120mm cross bars, made from heavy-duty 4mm aluminium and weighing just 1.2kg each. Pair all four with our aluminium backbone and your complete roof setup weighs only 8.9kg, leaving more of your available roof load for the gear you actually want to carry.

The slimline design keeps your setup low, clean and lightweight, while three accessory slots per side give you plenty of mounting options for compatible rooftop tents, awnings, recovery boards and touring gear.

The bars can also be mounted above or below the backbone brackets, giving you flexibility depending on the clearance and overall height you want.

For those who don't need the size and weight of a full platform, it's a clean, versatile way to get the carrying capability you need without unnecessary weight on the roof.

Another good product from BGT4x4

Hi what’s the dimensions of the bar LxWxH if mounted on top what is the clearance at it’s lowest point from the middle of the roof to underside of the bar thanks

BGT4X4

1200x40x20. Mounted at bottom is 10mm from roof. On top of backbone has a 34mm gap. RTT setups need to go on top, bottom is more for people running awnings or anything under 60kg on top.
