Aluminium Cross Bars to Suit Backbone Mounting System (1120mm)
These heavy-duty aluminium roof cross bars are designed to pair perfectly with the BGT4X4 Backbone Mounting System, while also potentially suiting other backbone setups depending on sizing and mounting configuration.
They're built from coated 4mm aluminium and provide a strong but lightweight platform for things like rooftop tents, awnings, canoes, recovery boards and other touring accessories, without adding unnecessary weight to your setup.
One of the biggest goals with this system was keeping weight down while still maintaining strength.
Each bar weighs only 1.2kg, meaning a full 4-bar setup paired with our aluminium backbone system weighs just 8.9kg total.
That leaves roughly 91kg remaining before reaching the Pajero’s 100kg roof load limit.

Hi what’s the dimensions of the bar LxWxH if mounted on top what is the clearance at it’s lowest point from the middle of the roof to underside of the bar thanks
1200x40x20. Mounted at bottom is 10mm from roof. On top of backbone has a 34mm gap. RTT setups need to go on top, bottom is more for people running awnings or anything under 60kg on top.
