Manufactured from heavy-duty 4mm aluminium (where many alternatives use 3mm aluminium or heavy steel) it weighs just 4.1kg while creating a strong, low-profile mounting system for compatible roof platforms or cross bars.

This listing is for the backbone mounting system only. Compatible roof platforms and cross bars are sold separately.

Our backbone is manufactured from 4mm aluminium, whereas many alternatives use 3mm aluminium or heavier steel construction.

The result is a lightweight yet incredibly strong mounting system that keeps roof weight, overall vehicle height and wind noise to a minimum.

Do I need to drill my Pajero?

If your Pajero has factory roof rails, no drilling is required.

Vehicles without factory roof rails require a different installation method, with a step-by-step guide available on our YouTube channel.

Hi! I came across your website.
We have a pajero 2011 and want to convert it to do a big lap.
We have two questions:
- is it possible to buy the backbone and then install the rhino pioneer flat rack on it without special mounts?
- or is it possible to mount our kings adventure rooftop tent onto the BGT 4x4 roof rack? And the same goes for a 270 awning for example kings or rhino. Do they fit onto your rack without special mounts?

Not sure about the rhino platform onto our backbone. I believe special mounts needed but can be wrong. Yes you can mount RTT to our backbone or roof rack. We will release cross bars for RTT soon to have the lowest possible setup. The 270 bolts onto the roof rack without drilling or other mounts required. We have a kings one.
