At just 4.1kg, it keeps the system lightweight and low-profile while still using thicker 4mm aluminium construction where many alternatives use 3mm aluminium or heavier steel.

Keeping weight down on the roof means more of your available roof load can go towards the gear you actually want to carry, while the low-profile design also helps minimise added vehicle height and wind noise.

The full aluminium construction provides excellent corrosion resistance, and models fitted with factory roof rails use the existing factory mounting points with no drilling required.

I bought the backbone and platform

I fitted the cane toad backbone with Rola and worked out well. issue is that the backbone is now rusting! I am seeking something that doesn’t corrode and works with a Rola tray?

Hey Mate, our setup is aluminium so rust won't be an issue. We cannot confirm if a Rola is a direct fit but you can always make it work.

Are the middle mounts slotted to fit over the seam of the car?

Hi! I came across your website.
We have a pajero 2011 and want to convert it to do a big lap.
We have two questions:
- is it possible to buy the backbone and then install the rhino pioneer flat rack on it without special mounts?
- or is it possible to mount our kings adventure rooftop tent onto the BGT 4x4 roof rack? And the same goes for a 270 awning for example kings or rhino. Do they fit onto your rack without special mounts?

Not sure about the rhino platform onto our backbone. I believe special mounts needed but can be wrong. Yes you can mount RTT to our backbone or roof rack. We will release cross bars for RTT soon to have the lowest possible setup. The 270 bolts onto the roof rack without drilling or other mounts required. We have a kings one.
