Upgraded Intercooler for Mitsubishi Pajero NS, NT, NW, NX 3.2L Diesel (2006–2021)
Just fitted this replacement intercooler and the silicone hoses to my Paj yesterday. I am a tradie but not a mechanic and I was able to install these items in my driveway at home with minimal fuss. Finishing off the install of the hoses on the top of the intercooler wasn't the most fun but that is not at all due to the product, it's just the reality of working in an awkward spot on the Pajero. Everything fitted without any need for modification, just straight bolt in replacement. The clamps for the hoses are great quality too, not cheap standard hose clamps.
I've only completed minimal driving since installing but I'm super impressed so far. No more boost leak noise from my original damaged intercooler and the power delivery is better which could just be because I'm not losing boost anymore but either way, I'm very happy with these products.

I decided to give a new life to my Pajero’s air intake system and invested in the BGT 4x4 stage two intercooler plus silicone hoses. I am not too experienced with mechanical works, but do a fair bit of DIY, so after watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to take on the swap myself. It took me a good five hours, including the fixing of a broken fan shroud clip (oops..) and replenishing the lost coolant from the disconnected radiator hose with a system bleed. The trickiest part was the removal and replacement of the bottom fan shroud attachment, but I took my time and got there finally. Test drove the car and everything is running super smooth. Having the upgraded system gives me some piece of mind when doing heavy 4wd work.

Great upgrade. Just towed my 2.5 ton van from Victoria to Queensland with the new intercooler in my NT Pagero. Definitely noticed the difference going up hills. Only negative is that my mechanic said he had to modify a bracket to fit it onto place; there is no mention of this in the website. Still he said it was pretty straight forward. Worth the investment. Thanks BGT 4x4.

Can you fit this without any tuning? I've already got a 3" exhaust but want to eventually do the turbo as well
Sure can! No tuning required however Do all the mods first then tuning last for best results 🙂
Do all the necessary fittings come with inter cooler?
Hi Angus. It is just a matter of taking off the old intercooler, exchanging the rubber mounts onto the new one, and then putting it back in. There isn't anything else required. Cheers!
Just confirming this unit takes up no more room than old one, as I have a winch cradle up front, room is at a premium. Also all current hoses will fit it? Cheers
Hey Steve, it will simply replace the current intercooler so still usable with winch and factory hoses :)
